The Material For Every Job
SendCutBend works with a wide range of sheet materials across aluminium alloys, copper, brass, stainless steel, and engineering plastics.
Each material is available in a wide range of thicknesses, with full detail on stock and pricing shown the moment you upload your file.
Aluminium Alloys
Aluminium is one of the most versatile materials we work with, balancing strength, weight, and corrosion resistance across a range of alloys suited to different applications.
Aluminium 1050
A commercially pure aluminium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and good formability. Best suited to applications where forming or conductivity matter more than structural strength, including electrical components and decorative panels. Anodises well, producing a clear, consistent finish.
Aluminium 5083
Chosen for its combination of machinability, bendability, weldability, and anodisability, this commercial-grade aluminium alloy well suited to a wide range of fabricated parts, from brackets to enclosures. Available in 3mm to 12mm thickness.
Aluminium 5251
A medium-strength aluminium-magnesium alloy with good corrosion resistance, excellent formability, and reliable weldability. Commonly used in automotive body panels, marine applications, and general fabrication where strength and formability both matter.
Aluminium 6082
A high-strength structural aluminium alloy, widely used across the UK and Europe for structural components, brackets, and frames. Offers a strong balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and machinability, and anodises well in T6 temper.
Stainless Steel
Our stainless steel range covers both Grade 304 and Grade 316, suited to general fabrication through to demanding marine and chemical environments.
Stainless Steel 304 2B
The most widely used austenitic stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, and strong weldability. The 2B surface finish gives a smooth, slightly reflective surface suited to general fabrication and food-grade applications.
Stainless Steel 316HR
Distinguished by its molybdenum content, 316 offers superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-bearing and acidic environments. The hot rolled (HR) condition suits heavier-gauge fabrication and further processing.
Stainless Steel 316 2B
Combines 316’s superior corrosion resistance with a smooth, cold-rolled 2B surface finish, ideal where both performance and appearance matter, including marine, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical applications.
Copper & Brass
Copper offers exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity, making it the material of choice for components where conductivity is the priority.
Copper C101
The highest-purity commercially available copper, suited to applications demanding maximum electrical and thermal conductivity, including electrical conductors, busbars, and high-conductivity connectors.
Copper C106 (Phosphorus Deoxidised)
A deoxidised copper alloy offering excellent weldability and formability, the standard choice for plumbing, heating systems, and general-purpose copper sheet applications.
Brass CZ108 (Cartridge Brass)
A copper-zinc alloy offering an excellent combination of strength, ductility, and cold formability, with a bright yellow-gold appearance. Widely used for decorative and architectural components, electrical terminals, and pressed or drawn parts.
Engineered Plastics
Acetal (POM)
A semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic known for high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. Widely used for precision gears, bearings, bushings, and components requiring a strong, stiff, low-friction plastic part.
Clear Polycarbonate
An amorphous engineering thermoplastic with exceptional impact resistance and high optical clarity, far tougher than acrylic. Suited to machine guards, sight glasses, and applications requiring a tough, transparent panel or component.
HDPE
A tough, lightweight thermoplastic with excellent chemical resistance and good impact resistance. Widely used for cutting boards, tank liners, marine fittings, and wear strips.
Buoyancy Foam
A machinable closed-cell foam suited to applications where buoyancy, flotation, and lightweight void-filling capabilities are key.
